Dr. Blair
T. Bruce Blair, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1980. Upon graduation, Dr. Blair joined the longtime practice of Dr. Darwin Rice and acquired the practice when Dr. Rice retired in 1982. Dr. Blair opened University Vision Centre at his current location in 1989. Professionally, in addition to his private practice, Dr. Blair is a past president of the El Paso Optometric Society, a member of the Texas Optometric Association and a member of the American Optometric Association.
 
In the community, Dr. Blair is a Mason and a Shriner, Elder at First Christian Church, and past president of SERTOMA. Since 1985, he has served as a volunteer doctor in the Lions for Vision project, providing free eye care to those in need.
 

Dr. Caballero
Mario A. Caballero, O.D., studied at the Interamerican University of Porte Rico, graduating in 1993. Upon his graduation, Dr. Caballero joined the U.S. Army and served as an Optometrist until 1996. He then joined the private practice of Dr. Richard Montes at the Eastside Vision Center in 1996 after his term in the Army.
 
Dr. Caballero has been an instructor for the El Paso Community College Ophthalmic Program as well as Adjunct Professor of Optometry for the University of Houston. Currently he serves as President of the El Paso Optometric Society and is a member of the American Optometric Association and Helen Keller International Optometric Association.
 

Dr. Ekery
 
Jeff M. Ekery, O.D., is a third generation El Pasoan. After completing his undergraduate studies at UTEP and UT Austin, he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1973 from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
 
In private practice since then, Dr. Ekery has been providing family vision care with a special emphasis on treatment and detection of eye disease. He has undergone additional extensive training for certification in the care of refractive surgery patients and has been involved with laser vision correction and refractive surgery for more than 7 years.
 
He has also been active in numerous professional and civic organizations. Among them is the Board of Directors of the Texas Optometric Association, Leadership El Paso, Yucca Council Boy Scouts, Lighthouse for the Blind, President of Prevent Blindness and past President of the El Paso Optometric Society.

Dr. K. Falknor
Kenneth R. Falknor, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, in 1978. He and Dr. Kathleen Goff joined Dr. Dean Goff in practice that same year. Dr. Ken is a past president of the El Paso Optometric Society, a member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Ken specializes in the treatment of glaucoma, contact lenses and co-management of LASIK, cataracts and retinal surgeries.
 
He is active in the Rotary Club of El Paso, and has been involved with the Lighthouse for the Blind, Chamber of Commerce and First Presbyterian Church.
 

Dr. L. Falknor
Larry W. Falknor, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, in 1977. Dr. Falknor opened his own practice in Bay City, Texas in 1977 until 1989. In 1990 he joined Envision Eyecare along with his brother Dr. Kenneth Falknor and partner, Dr. Kathleen Goff. Dr. Larry is an active member of the El Paso Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and a member of the Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association.
 
Dr. Larry specializes in the treatment of glaucoma, contact lenses and co-management of LASIK, cataract and retinal surgeries.
 
He has served on the Board of Directors for Prevent Blindness, Five Points Development Association and the Rotary Club of El Paso.

Dr. Goff
Kathleen E. Goff, O.D., considers herself a “native” having lived in El Paso since 1955. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1978 from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. She is a past president of the El Paso Optometric Society as well as past president of the Texas Optometrist Association. Dr. Goff is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, as well as a member of the American Optometric Association.
 
Dr. Goff specializes in Pediatric Optometry and co-management of LASIK, cataract and retinal surgeries. In addition to practicing with Envision Eyecare, she serves as the Clinical Director for New Vision Laser Center.
 
Dr. Goff served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, El Paso Lighthouse for the Blind, Rio Grande Girl Scout Council, First Presbyterian Church.  She was a member of Class V for Leadership El Paso and the Rotary Club of West El Paso.  Currently she serves on the Amigo Airsho Board.

Dr. Gulbas
Paul S. Gulbas, M.D., a native El Pasoan, received his Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University, School of Medicine, in 1972. After earning his Board Certification in Ophthalmology in 1977, he returned to the Sun City to establish his practice. Dr. Gulbas specializes in Clear Cornea (small incision) Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery and has lectured nationwide on this Intraocular (IOL) Implant Technique. He also specializes in refractive surgery.
 
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Gulbas has served as Regional Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Texas Tech Health Science Center in El Paso. He is a fellow of the America Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the Texas Medical Association and a member of the El Paso County Medical Society.
 

Dr. Eley
Doug Eley, O.D., Received his degree in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1987. He began his optometry practice in Humble, Texas also in 1987 then moved to El Paso in 1988 where he opened his own practice Texas State Optical.
 
Dr. Eley has advanced certification in Ocular Therapeutic and Glaucoma.
 
He is married to wife Jane and has two beautiful daughters Jessica and Erin. When not at the office Dr. Eley enjoys golfing, travel and listening to all types of music.
